About Brussels Matters
Brussels Matters hosts regular discussions with senior staff in the EU institutions focussed on significant legal and policy developments affecting lawyers and other professional advisers in all EU countries and beyond in areas such as competition (antitrust) law, corporate law, intellectual property and other internal market laws.
Participants join in the discussion either in-person (in Brussels) or by teleconference from their chosen location.
In short, Brussels Matters’ discussions allow participants wherever they are located to benefit from the knowledge gained in senior-level debate with EU staff alongside the Brussels’ EU legal community.

Conor Maguire is the managing director of Brussels Matters Limited and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1995. Conor has practised EU law in Brussels and London for over 20 years. He is a past chairman of the Law Society’s European Group, Brussels (now Competition Law Section) and previous Co-Chair of the International Antitrust Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law.
